Have you ever felt like you're doing the work? You're reading, you're meditating. But something isn't clicking. You think that you're doing something wrong on your spiritual path. It might actually be one of these five things. A couple of these are probably going to surprise you. Most people chasing their awakening never realize what's truly holding them back. So let's fix that. Spiritual awakening isn't some reward for being good or doing good. It's this process of unlearning and realign with yourself. And usually it's done without even realizing it. In this video, I want to share the five biggest blocks that I've seen on this path to spiritual awakening. maybe one of them that you're even dealing with right now. You can't muscle your way into the infinite. Trying to make awakening happen through force or effort can cause this exhaustion inside of you. That is going to make it even harder to get where you want to get. You might try to force altered states. You might get frustrated when you meditate and you're chasing that next level. But have you found yourself trying to feel something profound and reach this imagined, like peak or checkpoint out there and you just can't get there? The paradox is that the more you chase it, the further it slips away from you. start by trying to be here with it. Michael Singer and Eckhart Tolle have given us modern blueprints to live in the moment, they figured out how to take this ancient knowledge it's out there and make it accessible to you. it's always been there, though. It's not anything new. The distance between you and enlightenment is zero. It's right there inside of you. You're not going to the universe. You literally are the universe. The infinite isn't something that you go out and conquer. It's something that you return to by remembering who you already are. The universe would love if you give us a sub by hitting the watermark in the lower right hand corner. And while the mind is busy pushing, we forget to listen to our body. I say ignore your body at your own peril. The body isn't this separate thing away from our awakening. It's this perfect vehicle for you to get to where you want to go. You have tension. Maybe you have shallow breathing. Even poor posture might disrupt your entire energy flow in your body. And there's a reason that enlightenment yogis talk about this in Hinduism and other faiths. Embodiment is this grounding thing. Your nervous system has to feel safe in order for you to access higher states of consciousness. Ask yourself throughout the day, am I relaxed? Are my muscles tense, and if so, what can I do to make them unbind and unwind? Ask is the universe flowing through me? Am I holding on too tightly? Practice your breathwork. Do some stretching and look into Somatics. You start to realize it's not what you're doing with your body, but how you're experiencing it. You can rest in the awareness of your body and figure out where all of these miniature roadblocks are coming from within you. that somatic awareness in action meditation can help you out and be a bridge for you as well. But don't get caught up in what you think meditation should be. Find a way to meditate that works best for you and realize there's no right way to meditate. It's whatever makes you comfortable and whatever puts you at peace within yourself. Even when the body is aligned, fear can still hold us back. Some say that the doorway to awakening is labeled everything must go. Letting go brings you closer to the power of the universe. The power of yourself. You won't be able to navigate an awakening if you're carrying all this extra weight around with you. You may fear losing your relationships, control of things you're identity ambitions that you have, goals, and it might scare you to be without these things. But letting go doesn't have to mean that you're abandoning everything around you. It means that you're releasing attachment of how things have to be, or how they how you're told that they must be by society. Freedom isn't this isolation that you have to be in. It's the space that you're going to create for yourself by no longer holding on to all this stuff. when you release judgment, judgment of yourself, judgment of others, suddenly you are more free and you allow new ways of being to appear within you. And as that happens, you start to notice all of these things around you with more clarity than you've ever had. Your attachments will tie you into this material world and they'll hold you hostage. Which leads to a deeper layer. What you're holding onto. It may not be the world or things around you. It may actually be you yourself. This is the identity that we can't get rid of, and that completely takes us away from the universe and base consciousness and enlightenment. You won't be able to awaken to your true self if you're clinging to this false self in this material and real world that you're walking through every day. Labels like, I'm a teacher, I'm a failure. I'm a spiritual person. I'm a skeptic. There's all these labels and they create walls around you. Even calling yourself a spiritual seeker can be an ego trap. The ego and the mind are something that we can get lost in, that you can get lost in because they want to tell us all these things. They want to label everything. They want to create these walls because they just want to keep you safe there. The whole goal of the ego is to keep you safe. It's been doing it for thousands of years really well, but it overperformed. That's why you have to quiet the ego and set it aside so that you have the space and time to see beyond. That's when you start to see, oh, I am the universe. There's enlightenment. There's awakening. True awakening often feels like loss before liberation. it needs you to become no one in order to become everything. And you can try Ramana Maharshi’s method of asking, who am I? You aren't your name. You're not your job. You aren't your relationships. You're not your hobbies. And you're not your money. You're none of these things. And if you tap the link on the screen, you'll be able to see a video on the spiritual teachings of Ramana maharshi. Who am I? This is the mantra that can help you get through this massive roadblock. That is identity and people harp on this. Gurus or teachers or in books. Everybody talks about it because identity can hold you back, because we cling to it so tightly. You're way more than what you think your identity is. Even if you finally touch the truth and see the universe, the the journey doesn't end there. That's just the beginning. People think, okay, I've. I've seen the wholeness of one and I am enlightened, I am awakened. Just because you've seen it. And even if you can go back and see it again, doesn't mean that you're able to always hold on to it. And so don't believe that once you've touched and felt and become one with the universe, that that's the end. Seeing the universe one time doesn't mean that you get to live in it forever. Many mistake a single moment of awakening as a destination, but the real transformation happens in the integration of that experience with your material real world. How do you show up in everyday life with this new universal truth that you've discovered? If you don't ground that truth that you've seen in the material world, your insights going to fade, it's going to be harder to get back to it. There has to be a path back to that insight and the path also has to come from that insight that you have, and you have to lead it into your everyday life. Your nervous system is going to revert. Your body's going to go back into old habits, and your ego is going to rebuild those walls and labels to keep out the insight, to keep you away from awakening. Awakening to the beginning of new practices. It's not the end of your effort. down the path. daily meditation service, gratitude practices. That's where the awakened state can stabilize for you. Once you've seen the universe, it matters who you let into your bubble from here on out. Society's naturally going to try to pierce through that bubble. It's going to try to put you on this zombie conveyor belt of life that they're telling you. You have to get on this conveyor belt. You have to do all of these things. So you have to be aware and intentional of not slipping back into this stream of unconsciousness. That society is pushing you in, and it takes work to do that. So you have to figure out what rituals and daily practices are going to work for me to remind me, oh, this is taking me away from awakening. How can I stay here? That's why people carry around palm stones or carry around prayer beads or mala beads or rosaries. It's because it's a reminder of this bridge between that other place and this place that we call the real world. Awakening isn't something that you're going to chase. It's something that you uncover within you by removing what blocks it. These blocks that we're just talking about and these blocks, they can be really familiar and deeply human, and they can be warm and inviting. now that you see what they are, you have to decide. Am I a step closer to seeing, this awakening that I want to experience? And the conversation doesn't have to end here. Come be part of a community that gets it at Kishar.org. Please like this video.
